Zara received her ‘ster’ status at her KWPN gradings age 3 and was described as an ‘uphill’ mare with an abundance of power from behind and a very good canter. They also commented on her very correct conformation and lovely ‘front’. On her limited outings as a youngster Zara has always achieved good results; she was Champion warmblood yearling at the county Midlands in Hand show and was also Champion potential dressage horse as a 3 year old at the SHC judged by European evaluators. She is currently in training at a professional dressage yard and is already proving to be very talented and quick to learn with great rideability.

Zara is by the legendary KWPN stallion Ferro, who rose to stardom under Coby van Baalen. They won the team silver medal at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, 1999 European Championships and 2000 Olympic Games. Coby and Ferro's career highlight was in 2000, when they placed second in the World Cup Finals in 's Hertogenbosch, scoring over 80% for their Grand Prix kur to music. His bloodlines and talent for Grand Prix live on through his offspring, and in turn and their offspring, currently, Utopia (Metall) and Valegro (Negro) are probably his two most promising grandsons, who will hopefully compete in the 2012 Olympics in London. Top performer and 'keur' stallion, we feel very honored to have Zara, one of the last offspring to be born before his untimely death in 2005.

Zara’s Dam, Jorinde, is a top KWPN broodmare, she holds ALL of the prestigious predicates possible with the KWPN, ELITE, Preferent, Prestatie, Sport (Dressage). Her progeny have proved themselves in all disciplines; Jorinde has a graded BWP son standing in the USA who has proved himself in sport and in the quality of his offspring. She has several Sport, Elite, keur and ster daughters. Every daughter presented for KWPN studbook approval has received a premium predicate for outstanding conformation and movement. Jorinde came second at her KWPN mare gradings in Holland age 3, qualifying for the leading group, she ended up finishing 11th out of the 116 top KWPN mares of that year and was one of the only mares already nursing a foal. Jorinde had only one year off age seven to prove herself in sport which she most certainly did reaching, competing and winning at advanced medium level dressage and showjumping at 1.10m. Her offspring are competing at affiliated levels in Holland, Europe, the USA and UK; she really is a top producer and passes on her outstanding attributes to all of her offspring.
Grand dam Ceralina holds the esteemed predicates Keur, Prestatie, Preferent. She herself competed up to medium level dressage in between her busy career as a broodmare and earned an incredible 91 points in her IBOP test. She has a son competing at Grand Prix level dressage and another at Light tour who will be making his debut at Grand prix very soon, both are well respected National dressage horses in Holland, she has four Elite daughters, 3 of these with sport predicates in both dressage and Showjumping, one Keur, and a second round KWPN stallion who competed at advanced medium level dressage before sadly passing away, he was full sister to Jorinde.

This highly predicate rich damline goes back to Great Grandam Ursaline who carries her Ster and Prestatie predicates, she is by the Preferent Normandy stallion Duc de Normandie (Selle Francais) by Monceaux xx.
